Kundan Green Energy was born of a simple question:

While sustainable development is the obvious answer, we decided to address it by looking at the future to improve the present. By committing ourselves to green energy and within it our role as catalysts in the transition, we have incrementally added sustainable and optimally performing power solutions to India’s energy grids. This continues to grow. Our projects have improved the lives of millions of people by providing clean water, better waste management, roads and highways and lighting up homes. We have been at the forefront of renewable energy development, spanning Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Gujarat across green energy formats. With a robust presence in generation of green energy, we continue to grow fast and with robust strength across hydro power, solar power and generation of electricity from waste. Our latest foray into the waste-to-energy paradigm represents our commitment to the ESG principle of circularity.

As we build Kundan Green Energy, we are sensitive to the fact that the fight against climate change and the road to de-carbonization are inextricably linked to our core business —- producing green energy in order to reduce Co2 emissions, provide disadvantaged areas with access to electricity, and make economic activities more sustainable. As we harness the earth’s most abundant resources – the force of water and the heat of the sun – we create energy from these inexhaustible primal sources to power the economy and make lives better. With the advent of our waste-to-energy initiative, we have entered a seminal area with virtually unlimited potential —- in India the estimated energy generation potential from urban and industrial organic waste is 5690 MWs. An additional aspect is the fact that waste-to-energy actualizes a circular economy with the eventual vision of zero waste and re-cycling.

For me, personally, in pursuing the green energy agenda, our innovative spirit and entrepreneurial mindset find fullest expression. In doing this we see the promise of renewable energy everywhere. In our own way, therefore, we see ourselves as a player with energy to change the world in our own paradigm. Adding to this deep fulfilment is the fact that we have the courage, scale, passion, diversity and the resourcefulness to deliver our promise. Our strategy is based on sustainability, technological and geographic diversification. With each of its stakeholders Kundan Green Energy is committed to proving that no one ever has to choose between affordable, reliable or sustainable energy, because we actualize all these three. A state of harmony facilitated by use of natural resources, direction of investments and orientation of technology. An institutional change for the better, consistent with future as well as present needs.
